History
The Key was started in 1960 by the Women's Guild of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Cazenovia NY. The purpose of The Key has always been to support not-for-profit causes within the community, nurture a place where people could meet together in fellowship and hospitality, and maintain a sound business focused on the donation or consignment of clothing and household items for the purpose of helping to stretch a tight budget. Over the years the success of The Key stands as a tribute to a dedicated and ecumenical volunteer effort that continues to support the mission goals of St. Peter's parish and the broader community.
